Account Opening Minimum:
A$2,000 is required ($10,000 for Corporate\Trust\Partnership and LLC Accounts)

MT4 Accounts will have a 10K minimum lot size (or equivalent to volume = 0.10 on MT4 platform). Minimum trade size of 10k (or volume of 0.10 on MT4) is 1 mini lot.

Due to popular demand from our client base, FXCM is pleased to offer the Metatrader platform. However, as Metatrader is a third party software provider, we are unable to guarantee its performance. Most electronic trading facilities are supported by computer-based component systems for the order routing and execution of trades. As with all facilities and systems, they are vulnerable to temporary disruption or failure. When you undertake transactions on an electronic trading system, you will be exposed to risks associated with the system including failure of hardware or software. Pursuant to the terms of the FXCM Client Agreement, FXCM clients must review their account activity on a regular basis and report inconsistencies to FXCM immediately. Additionally, clients should familiarise themselves with Execution Risks as outlined on the FXCM website.

Step 3
Submit a government-issued photo ID and proof of residence.
  1. A certified photocopy of one form of a non-expired, government-issued ID.
    Your identification must clearly indicate your date of birth. All documents that contain an expiration date must be valid, unless stated otherwise.

    Examples of this include a:

    • Passport
    • Driver's license
    • Non-driver's ID
  2. A certified proof of residence dated within 6 months for the address indicated on the application. (PO Boxes are not acceptable.)
    Please note that we are unable to accept any statement or bill that has not been received in its entirety. Information such as the billing name and address must be visible, as well as the company that has issued the bill. Your document must not be folded. Payment stubs are not acceptable, as they display limited information. Confidential information such as an account number(s) may be removed at your own discretion.

    Examples of this include the following:

    • Gas bill
    • Electric bill
    • Telephone bill
    • Bank statement
    • Credit Card statement
    • Mortgage bill
    • Current Lease agreement

    You may submit your documents as scanned images (JPG, GIF, BMP, DOC, PDF—no password protection please) to our New Accounts department at support@fxcm.com.au.

Step 4

Wait for the account to be approved. Our New Accounts department will notify you regarding the status of your account application by e-mail within two business days.

Step 5

Finally, fund the account using one of the methods described at www.forextrading.com.au/depositing-funds.jsp.
